Working in the area of civil construction requires technique and precision. Through a model of excellence, MCDI works with the quality and commitment of those who seek to exceed the standards.
And so it was in the challenge of participating in the works of Cidade Matarazzo, an enterprise that has the mark of boldness and innovation.
Located in the Bela Vista neighborhood of the city of Sao Paulo, Cidade Matarazzo is a large hotel, gastronomic and cultural complex, the result of the desire and great effort of Groupe Allard, which, to become real, needed the engagement of people and companies prepared, such as MCDI, to face great challenges.
The area where the project was built is listed and was home to the Matarazzo Hospital Complex, inaugurated at the beginning of the 20th century. The project included the maintenance of the neoclassical style of the building and the revitalization of some elements of the Hospital.
MCDI completed “Block L” in 13 months, carrying out foundations, concrete and metal structures, closures, installations, aluminum and glass facade, and internal finishes, while in “Block E” it carried out demolitions, structural reinforcements, containment, waterproofing, and restoration of the facade, in addition to interventions in topography, electrical installations, air conditioning and automation.
A work with a high degree of technical complexity of execution, accentuated by the short delivery time, extremely reduced construction site, and restricted working hours. All this always preserves the safety and good working conditions of the team.
Cidade Matarazzo was certainly one of MCDI’s great challenges, and it fills us with pride and a lot of responsibility. An ambitious project that become an icon in the city of Sao Paulo.
